3H Project: Objective 4 - Develop a pilot immunization program

Develop a pilot immunization program in Vladivostok, which can be used throughout the Russian Far East, with Russian Clubs playing a key role.

Who is responsible?

Vlad-Eco being the lead Club in Russia will have the overall responsibility. But they will be strongly supported by Cameron Park, Districts 5010 and 5190.

How and when will it be done?

The Vladivostok Clubs have been involved from the very beginning of the planning of this project. They have worked with the local government officials to develop a viable project and they have established excellent government support. The Krai Health Department is anxious to expand the program. The Vladivostok Clubs will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the project. Cameron Park Rotary Club and the supporting Districts have been involved in the planning and development and will be active in the project operation. The supporting Clubs and Districts will send members to Vladivostok to participate as the project progresses. We have documented our efforts and will continue to compile information on the development, operation, and success of the pilot project. From this the three Rotary Clubs and the two Districts will develop and refine the pilot model. The project will establish credibility for the expanded program.

During the three years of the project, we will present reports at the annual "Expanding Rotary in Russia" conferences, which will generate awareness and interest. We will also be working to generate partnerships between Russian Clubs and those in Alaska and the Lower USA. To prepare for expanding the pilot program, we will look for opportunities to find partners in Clubs in other countries, as well. Members of the three sponsoring Rotary Clubs will do this through presentations to Clubs in Russia and outside. In addition, we will use personal contacts between members of the sponsoring Clubs and members of other Clubs. The District Governors of 5010 and 5190 have been very supportive of this project, and they will also help in establishing partnerships.
