Last Meeting, May-04-2023: DeBorah Demander Reno's business: The Mind-Body Connection
Club member DeBorah Demander Reno is an author, teacher and healer. DeBorah has written three books, two of which are published, and she is looking for a publisher for the third.  Her goal is to empower people to transform their lives from the inside out. With her guidance, you can live your best life, starting today.

DeBorah described the four aspects of her business, The Mind-Body Connection.  1) She is a yoga instructor and has specialties in trauma-informed yoga which can be helpful for PTSD sufferers.  She has posted 40 different yoga videos on YouTube.  She administered a brief chair yoga session for all of us members during her presentation.  It involved slowing down, breathing deeply, and doing some relaxing stretches.  She reminded us the benefits of flexibility and balance, especially as we age, and described how we can work useful stretches and poses into our daily routine such as when brushing our teeth.
2) Massage Therapy.   When she had six kids at home, she cleaned houses to make money to pay for massage school.  She became a Master Reiki Practitioner which allows her to enter the energy of the person she is working on. She has mastered a variety of massage techniques.  Lymphatic draining can be an aspect of her massage therapy which can be very useful for breast cancer survivors.

The table display rom Area 6 (CP, Placerville, Georgetown, and Camino) won the best “House of Friendship” table display award. We participated in the “Celebration of Life” memorial for Jim Buckley and Dave Johnson. Don said one of the best break-out sessions was a younger group of Rotarians who discussed how to attract and retain younger members.
2) Don presented Ben Young with a certificate for his work at the Cameron Park Lake fishing platform rebuild.
3) Bill Ettlich's wife broke her leg on their Hawaii trip.
