Frank Porter is a retired school superintendent, school principal and teacher, and a 5th generation Californian. His teaching & administrative career started locally in the Buckeye School District in 1975, followed by service in Sacramento and Amador Counties. He and his wife, Sharan, moved to El Dorado County in 1984 and have raised two children who attended local EDC public schools and who now, as young adults, have launched into careers in nursing and teaching. Since his retirement in 2016, Frank has been working with the El Dorado Community Foundation, local and regional non-profit organizations, Upper Room, Foothill Interfaith Collaboration, and now Housing El Dorado, to create and promote affordable housing solutions and effective and sustainable support services for our county's homeless neighbors. |
