Don Fuller is President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Cameron Park.  Don is also the 2021-2022 club chair for the Rotary Foundation.   In that role he promotes awareness of The Rotary Foundation (TRF) and its international and local reach to do good.   The TRF chair also helps to increase awareness of Rotary’s leadership role in eradicating Polio.

Don designed a fun-filled program of education, popcorn to eat during two films (TRF Videos), proselytizing for contributions, and a Trivia Contest at the end, to see if we were paying attention.  Don explained the difference between TRF and our Community Foundation; if you weren't at the meeting, so sorry that you missed his elegant explanation that, once and for all, settled that age-old question.  The Rotary Foundation, part of Rotary International, transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.  Our Community Foundation is devoted to local projects and acting as a tax-deductible structure for other local organizations.

Don provided an easy way for each member to donate to the foundation by handing out a slip of green paper to each attendee; the member could write their name and an amount to donate and hand it to our treasurer, Janet Yarbrough, who will take care of the billing.

In the quiz at the end, Laurie Edwards was the winner by getting every question right, and Joe Ryan and Ann Eckert tied for 2nd Place.  Laurie won some nice toffees from Don and Linda's business and Joe and Ann got to fight over a bottle of Scandanavian Aquavit.
